“Young Factor”: a project in pursuit of economic and financial literacy
“Young Factor” is a project sponsored by the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori with the aim of facing a new civic and social challenge: improve the economic and financial literacy of Italian students in order to fill their competitive gap with European peers. This initiative supported by three of the main banking institutions in Italy: Intesa Sanpaolo, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena and UniCredit.

It was inaugurated today, in Florence, attended by Jens Weidmann, in an Odeon Theatre sold out for the participation of over 800 students of Italian secondary schools, the second edition of the “Young Factor” sponsored by the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori, chaired by Andrea Ceccherini, with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo, Monte dei Paschi di Siena and UniCredit.
“Young Factor” is currently the lead of economic and financial literacy leader in the country for number of students involved in secondary schools. A project aimed at raising the level of economic and financial literacy of Italian students.
The Governor of the Bundesbank Jens Weidmann will be the guest of the Osservatorio after the invitation of Andrea Ceccherini
It will be the governor of the Bundesbank, Jens Weidmann, next international guests who will tread the stage of the great events of the Osservatorio Permanenet Giovani-Editori.
After the former Governor of the ECB Jean-Claude Trichet, who last year received the invitation of the President of the Osservatorio Andrea Ceccherini, and personally decided to christen the onset of the economic and financial literacy project Young Factor, this year will be number one on the Deutsche Bundesbank to participate, together with Andrea Ceccherini, at a meeting with students of Italian, dedicated to open their eyes to the importance of acquiring a solid culture viability, to be citizens freer and more masters of themselves.
Appointment of the Osservatorio Advisory Board dedicated to the economic and financial literacy project
The Bureau of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori has appointed an Advisory Board. The members who accepted Andrea Ceccherini’s invitation and who were appointed unanimously by the Bureau are: Gabriele Galateri di Genola, Chairman Assicurazioni Generali, Federico Ghizzoni, CEO Unicredit, Carlo Messina, Member of the Board Intesa Sanpaolo, Fabrizio Saccomani, former Director General of the Bank of Italy, Jean-Claude Trichet, former Governor of the European Central Bank, Fabrizio Viola, CEO Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, as well as the President of the Osservatorio.

Mr Jean-Claude Trichet was present at the inaugural edition of the “Young Factor” project sponsored by the Osservatorio and over 300 Italian upper secondary school students were in the audience.
The Osservatorio signed a strategic partnership for young students economic and financial literacy with Intesa Sanpaolo, Unicredit and Mps
On the occasion of the Young Factor meeting in Milan, a formal Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the aim of promoting economic and financial literacy in Italian upper secondary schools.
