“Young Factor”: a project in pursuit of economic and financial literacy

Young Factor is an event sponsored by the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori and Intesa Sanpaolo.

The initiative was launched to promote economic and financial literacy in schools and it also involves Italian institutions that wish to be part of this challenge.
Based on the five year economic and financial literacy experience promoted in upper secondary schools with a project called “Financial culture in the classroom: be ready to choose”, that involved over 317,278 students in secondary schools all over Italy during the 2013/2014 academic year, the Osservatorio decided to gather students, teachers, bankers, insurers and leaders in the economic world and civic society to discuss amongst peers how to unite in pursuing a small yet crucial goal: improve the economic and financial culture in young students in order to ensure they will be masters of their own mind.
A meeting focussed on exchanging ideas between important national and international guests who discussed values and limitations with the students enrolled in this ongoing initiative, and, together with all available partners, they sketched the first steps along a path leading to a common solution to a common challenge.
