PRIVACY POLICY ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
This document, in accordance with Art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter only “GDPR”), provides information regarding the processing of personal data carried out within this Website.
1. Data Controller. The Data Controller is the Association “Osservatorio for independent thinking”, tax code 05054380489, with its registered office in Florence, Viale Guidoni, 95, e-mail: privacy@osservatorionline.it (hereinafter only “Controller”). The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) pursuant to Articles 37 et seq. of GDPR no. 679/2016, who can be contacted at the following e-mail address: dpo@osservatorionline.it.
2. Purposes of the Processing. The Controller collects and processes the User’s personal data for the following purposes: (a) to respond to requests for information sent by the User to the Controller via e-mail and/or telephone contact; (b) to ensure the functionality, usability, and IT security of the website through technical cookies.
3. Legal Basis for the Processing. The processing carried out for each of the purposes indicated above is performed on the basis of: (a) for the processing carried out for the purpose referred to in letter (a) of paragraph 2, the legitimate interest of the Controller to be able to respond to requests for information sent by Users through the website (cf. Art. 6(f) GDPR).
4. Recipients of the Data. The collected data is communicated to:

The company that owns the servers on which the website resides and which provides the Controller with the server hosting service for the website;

Essedicom Srl, a company appointed by the Controller to carry out the website maintenance and update service for reasons strictly related to the fulfillment of this task;

Consultants, professionals, and/or other third parties who may be appointed to protect the rights of the Controller (e.g., lawyers); The complete list of data recipients can be requested by contacting the Controller at the addresses indicated in Section 1.
5. Categories of Personal Data Processed relating to the Website The personal data processed are those communicated by you or lawfully obtained by the Controller. The types and methods of data processing relating to the website are described below.

Navigation/website operation data. The computer systems, telematic systems, and software procedures used to operate the website acquire, during their normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of web communication protocols. This category of data includes, for example, IP addresses, the date and time of access, the pages visited (URI/URL), the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server, the method used to submit the request to the server, the names of the devices used to connect to the site, and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment.

Data voluntarily provided. In some sections of the website, some personal data are requested, for example, to allow you to be contacted.

Data collected through tracking (cookies). Tracking is carried out through code executed within the website at both the server level (e.g., services, procedures) and the client level (e.g., tags, pixels), also with the support of code installed on your browser (e.g., cookies).

Location data. The website may collect, following your specific authorization, approximate location data provided by your IP address.
6. Data Transfer. The server on which the website resides is located in Europe (Dusseldorf, Germany). The Controller, therefore, does not transfer personal data to non-EU countries.
7. Duration of the Processing. The processing described above will be carried out by the Controller for the following durations: (a) for the processing carried out for the purpose referred to in Paragraph 2, letter (a), for the time necessary to allow the Controller to respond to the requests sent by the User; It should also be noted that, for the processing for the purposes referred to in Paragraph 2, letter (a), the data will be kept, after the durations specified above, for the time necessary to defend the Controller’s rights in court (for example, in the event of a claim for damages by the data subject).
8. PROVISION OF DATA Without prejudice to the above regarding navigation data and in the information provided, the provision of data for further purposes is optional. Failure to provide them may make it impossible to pursue such further purposes beyond those listed in Art. 2.
9. Rights of the Data Subject. Finally, we remind you that at any time, by sending a communication to the Controller at the addresses indicated above, where the legal requirements are met, you may exercise the right of access and obtain the erasure, updating, rectification, restriction, and integration of your personal data, as well as exercise all the rights provided for in Chapter III of the GDPR and national laws within their competence, where applicable. You may also receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. In accordance with Art. 77 of the Regulation, you may lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority if you believe that your rights have been violated. If the processing is based on our legitimate interest, you may also, in application of Art. 21 of the Regulation, object at any time to the processing for reasons related to your particular situation.
Osservatorio for independent thinking The President
This site uses “Social Plugins” (hereinafter referred to as buttons) from social networks such as Facebook and YouTube. These buttons are disabled by default, meaning they do not send data to the respective social networks without your consent.
To activate the buttons, simply click on them. The button remains active until it is deactivated again or its cookies are deleted. After activation, a direct connection to the server of the respective social network is established. The content associated with the button is then transmitted directly from the social networks to your browser and linked by the latter to the webpage.
To understand the purpose and scope of the data collection and processing/use carried out by the social networks, over which we have no control, the user can access the information and privacy policies made available on the social network portals.
Upon activating a button, the respective social network can collect a series of data, regardless of your interaction with the button itself. If you are logged into a social network, it can assign your visit to this webpage to your user profile.

The reproduction and any further act of economic use of the contents of this Site are subject to the prior written authorization of the rights holder.
